  what a wonderful day

  mrs picard and i have both got the week off, so we have decided to spend the day on the hollodeck.. breakfast in bed, followed by a long walk in the countryside.. not a cloud in view.. salad lunch in the garden ( some of our firsthome grown produce of the year), along with a generous glass of red wine.. then a siesta in the hamack.

  its a double hamack, but mrs picard declined to join me, prefering reading her new novel.. i didnt sleep, but lazily watched the comings and goings of the birds nesting in the trees above my head, the insects, and the sunlight flickering through the leaves.. to top it all, mrs picard has offered to take me out to the restaurant this evening.. if there is a god, i'd like to publically thank him for this wonderful day, and present my excuses for not going out in field service for the last 15 years.. and, in the words of karen carpenter, in one of her songs:.

  For British exjws: how has your view of the Royal Family etc changed

  has your perspective of the royal family, her majesty the queen, the national anthem, and maybe politics in general, changed since you left the borg?.

  No shortage of prophecy

  it is easy to understand why some could have nagging doubts when seeing world events.. "maybe it is the truth after all?".

  i came accross this site http://www.prophecynewswatch.com and realise ( well i knew already) that there is no shortage of prophecy, or prophets.. in 1970, i was just a boy, i remember hearing on the radio.

  "by 1978 there will be no water left that is fit enough to drink, but we shouldnt worry because by 1977 the air will no longer support human life".

  I dont like Moondays

  they insist that the devil works strongest through those closest to you to destroy your faith.

  this naturally offsets the concern of parents and friends, most of whom want you to leave.

  you are told that their motivation is love, but because love in the world is fallen, they cannot understand that their motivation is evil.
